The pond

Last year, Erin and I found a pond behind our old apartment complex.  It involved hopping a fence and hiking down the train tracks for a few minutes, but it’s a pretty cool spot.  We’ve finally had some cold weather, so we decided to go check the ice.  Here are some pics.

    Mike,
    Looks like you and Erin did a nice job shoveling. I hope it doesn’t snow too much on your lovely rink. Be careful, don’t fall and break anything, we don’t want to test out that new insurance just yet.

    Yeah, we’ve been lucky lately; there hasn’t been much snow. I shoveled another 1/4 inch today. We have good ice right now.
